American Parking Solutions/TemPark Wins IFAI 2004 International Achievement Award

Roseville, Minn. (Nov. 1, 2004) – American Parking Solutions/TemPark, Niles, Ohio was honored with an Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) 2004 International Achievement Award for its outstanding specialty fabric project.

Spanning more than half a century, the IFAI International Achievement Awards is an annual world-class competition that recognizes companies for their innovations in design and/or technology in the specialty fabrics industry.

American Parking Solutions/TemPark received an Award of Excellence for its 57 acre Portable Parking Mat TemPark, Oakville, Ontario, Canada. The project was recognized in the competition’s Geosynthetic Projects category.

The 57th-annual competition received 370 entries from companies in 21 countries. This year’s competition had the second highest number of participants in the history of the International Achievement Awards program. Entries in 26 categories were judged by a diverse panel of industry experts, editors, architects, educators and design professionals selected for their knowledge of the particular category of competition. Judging was based on complexity, design, workmanship, uniqueness and function.

This annual competition is sponsored by IFAI, a not-for-profit trade association whose member companies represent the international specialty fabrics marketplace. The 2004 International Achievement Awards were presented during IFAI Expo 2004, the Americas’ largest annual specialty fabrics event.
